IES Emerging Professionals

Have you ever felt that the issues that are most important to you as a young lighting professional are not being addressed?  Or, have you ever asked yourself the following questions:

  • How could the people who have been in the industry for so long understand my needs when the path they traveled years before is so different from the one faced by the young professionals of today?
  • How can I make connections with more experienced members of the profession?
  • How can I identify mentors within the IES?
  • Who do I approach to help me on my career path in the lighting industry?

Well, now you are empowered to take action to ensure that the lighting industry – and the IES – are meeting your career objectives.

The IES has a new Emerging Professionals Initiative and we need you to get involved by starting an emerging professional group within your Section.

Let your voices be heard!

You organize the leadership and volunteers and the IES will provide you with ideas to create a successful program and a list of mentors that are willing to help you get started.

This is YOUR program and YOUR future: DEMAND to be heard …get involved today!
